GX600D VHF Marine DSC RADIO

Following the successful introduction of GME’s GX600 compact VHF radio, is the release of the feature packed Digital Selective Calling model, the GX600D. Based on the same platform as the GX600 above, the 600D is equiped with a full function keypad microphone with an extremely simple ‘mobile phone style’ operating system, the GX600D ensures that operators of every skill level can access the full benefit of the radio’s extensive feature list.

GD9520 Marine AM/FM Radio DVD/CD/MP3 Player

AE2000 TV Marine Aerial

Marine and land mobile installations present a challenge to normal TV antenna design. TV antennas are very directional and give the best reception when aimed directly towards the transmitter site.

This can easily be achieved when mounted on a fixed site like a house. But when installed on a boat anchored to a swing mooring the constant motion often results in a conversant fluctuation in picture quality. The AE2000 is designed to be non-directional by using a unique three element broadband clover leaf antenna and will continue to give good reception regardless of any movement.

A digital ready 20 dB gain low noise amplifier gives the best possible reception of weak signals across all the television and FM radio bands. Housed inside a weatherproof UV stabilised radome the amplifier is protected against damage from static, power surge and reverse polarity.

MT400 Manually Activated 406 MHz EPIRB

The GME MT400 406 MHz digital EPIRB is the culmination of three years of extensive R & D by GME engineers. The end result is a radical new design concept that is not only a significant improvement on existing beacon performance, but dramatically slashes the cost of 406 MHz EPIRB ownership.

Advantages of a 406 MHZ EPIRB over the older analogue EPIRBs include world wide coverage, position location accuracy to within 5 kms and a more stable transmitted signal resulting in faster response time.

Most importantly, the addition of a unique digitally coded message provides Search and Rescue authorities with vital information including the country of beacon registration and identification of the vessel in distress thus greatly reducing the incidence of false alerts and unneccesary deployment of valuable rescue resources.

MT403G 406 MHz EPIRB water & Manual Activation

The MT403G has all the same specifications as the MT400 except the MT403G also includes a water activation feature.

Once it has been removed from its mounting bracket, the MT401 will activate automatically on immersion in water. Of course you can also activate it manually if required.

The MT403G has an additional 16 Channel parallel GPS receiver with top mounted Quad helix antenna to improve location accuracy to better than 100m typically.
